Many people leave legacies in their Wills. Whilst we do not want to lose you, maybe you could think about the cats at PAWSAWYLE as a beneficiary.

We have been lucky enough to have been nominated on occasions for the proceeds of a collection at a funeral. Again, whilst we do not want to see you go, maybe you could think about the cats. Maybe you could suggest this to anyone arranging a funeral.

Oh dear, this is getting a little depressing!

One story does stick in our minds of a lovely lady who adopted a cat from PAWSAWYLE sometime ago. Her will had already been written and when she died, we were asked to take the cat back. Unfortunately for us, she had left all her money to another national cat charity. So we ended up having to pay all the dear little cats' bills and rehome her.

Another lovely elderly lady had an elderly cat which we took in for her whilst she was in hospital, despite the fact that we do not take boarders. The lady then came out of hospital but a few weeks later she died. We were asked by her carer if we could take the cat, which we did willingly. We later learned that she too had never changed her will and another centre inherited a huge amount of money. This little cat was quite sick and we had large vets&' bills for her.

Possibly because we are a small concern, people do not think about us financially.
